JLo’s curating a girl-power Virgin cruise and it’s going to be epic

Sir Richard Branson’s cruise line, Virgin Voyages, is collaborating with pop icon Jennifer Lopez for the cruise of a lifetime this April. Yes, you read that right. Jennifer Lopez, aka Jenny from the block. Or should that be Jenny from the dock?

Jennifer Lopez is Virgin’s Chief Entertainment & Lifestyle Officer, and the “Limitless Voyage” is inspired by JLo’s goal to encourage us to live our lives limitlessly.

“My mission has always been to entertain, empower and inspire my fans to live their lives without putting limits on what they believe they can achieve,” said Jennifer Lopez. “Richard and I share this passion for partnerships and experiences that bring people joy and lift you up, which is why I am so excited to work with Virgin Voyages to bring the Limitless Voyage to the seven seas.” The cruise is inspired by JLo’s mission-driven organisation, Limitless Labs, which focuses on changing the game for women to up-level their lives through equal access to education, opportunities and capital. Walking the talk, Virgin Voyages and Jennifer will donate 50 cabins on this voyage to hard-working Latina entrepreneurs through the non-profit, Grameen America.

Before diving into what’s happening on board, let’s get loud and answer the burning question on everyone’s lips. Will JLo be there in person? Yup, you bet she will. JLo will meet you on the floor for the sail away party in Miami to kick things off with a bang.

While the voyage is open to sailors of all demographics, Virgin state that the cruise is “especially focusing on celebrating women who are making ship happen in business and the world at large.” This trip is for women making waves in their area of expertise who understand balance is critical. Daytimes will offer Ted-type talks, networking events, inspiring workshops, panel discussions and plenty of rejuvenation, fitness and wellness throughout the cruise. Night owls that prefer to spend the day waiting for tonight are treated with JLo inspired entertainment when the sun goes down. You’ll even be able to dine like JLo, with her fav dishes and drinks featured on the menu.

The voyage is envisioned as a multi-faceted journey on the ocean, incorporating the seven Cs of the organisation – community, courage, character, confidence, care, clarity, and connection – working in tandem to offer a line-up of engaging events that balance personal and professional growth. And let’s be honest, who isn’t a fan of mixing pleasure and business? You’d be hard-pressed to find a woman in the modern age that doesn’t need help with that tightrope walk.
