Based in Margaret River, Cassandra Charlick is an award-winning wine journalist, travel and food writer, television presenter and MC. She's the Western Australian correspondent for Decanter, and her “Travel by the Glass” column can be found in International Traveller. She regularly contributes to publications, including Halliday magazine, Delicious Magazine, Escape, Australian Traveller, The Urban List, T Magazine, Luxury Traveller, and Ray Jordan's Wine Review. She’s a wine judge, reviewer for Wine Pilot and the WA Good Food Guide, and a television presenter on Channel Nine's Our State on a Plate.

Cassandra is an in-demand host and MC, thanks to her warm and engaging tone, industry expertise, and 20+ years in the entertainment industry. She facilitates wine masterclasses and tastings for trade and consumers and is regularly called upon for commentary at wine tastings.

Cassandra is the 2024 IWSC Emerging Wine Communicator of the Year award winner. In 2023, Cassandra was awarded a fellowship at the Wine Writers Symposium in Napa Valley. She was also selected as the fellow for the Australian Alternative Varieties Wine Show in Mildura, one of Australia’s most progressive wine shows that celebrates the diversity of Australian wine styles and grapes.

As a consultant, she assists brands in the tourism and wine industries in sharing their stories. Cassandra is the co-founder and co-director of Earn Your Vino and Travel Better DMC, delivering immersive and bespoke experiences throughout Western Australia's wine regions.

One of the greatest pleasures of wine and travel is that there is always an infinite amount more to learn, and Cassandra finds joy in discovering the stories that fall between the cracks.

When not doing all of the above, you can catch her behind the microphone singing. She spent over twenty years treading the boards globally, from London to Tokyo, as a singer and actor before settling in wine paradise.
